Our stunning Miss Ireland is set to take over another industry, as she exclusively tells Maggie Red that she is designing her own jewellery line!
Yes, the Cellbridge beauty Emma Waldron has revealed that she is collaborating with a Dublin based jewellery store to design her own line of jewels. Since appearing in the limelight as Miss Ireland, Emma has shot to fame following her stint in China for Miss World, and her constant coverage in the Irish media.
Emma told me that she is super excited about her new line:
"I'm good pals with the girls from Crystals and Co. They gave me lots of jewellery when I competed for Miss World in China. We decided to collaborate on this new line".The model admitted that she "always used to design little pieces of jewellery" when she was a child and although many celebs just put their name to ventures such as this, always smiley Emma says she is heavily involved in the designing process:
"I will be fully involved from picking the design to the size of the stone being used. Plus the collection ties in with the Miss World competition with some designs called 'Miss Peach' and 'Miss Plumb'."

While expanding her career options, the pageant queen has been moving onwards and upwards in the modelling industry also. The trainee school-teacher switched modelling agencies last week. The gorgeous model told me why she has chosen be represented by Andrea Roche.
As Miss Ireland, Emma (22) has been previously represented by the modelling agency BScene but admitted that she wanted to achieve "higher goals" in the modelling industry and thought joining Andrea's team would be the best move:
"I decided to change to Andrea because she is an incredible force in the modelling industry, she has great contacts. I switched over to reach higher goals. As Miss Ireland I do a lot of press calls and I've really been enjoying it so I want to get back to modelling."
The stunner explained that she wants to try and pursue a "high fashion modelling" career as she will soon have to hand over her title to a new Miss Ireland. In a surprising move Emma says that she went with her gut instinct and joined Andrea's agency after a meeting her for a chat:
"It came up in conversation, then we met up one day and I told her what modelling I liked and Andrea told me that her door was always open, so i decided to take the leap."
I think this is the perfect move for the Irish beauty. Emma will now be joining the same agency as Ireland's top model Rozanna Purcell, Pippa O'Connor and former Miss World Rosanna Davison.
Meanwhile...
The role model also revealed to me, that she will be apart of a huge anti-racist campaign after becoming involved in a very public racial argument. A few months ago, an anonymous social network user wrote rude remarks about her relationship with Nigerian boyfriend Manners O, which led to a heated debate about inter-racial relationships in the press.

The beauty says that now, she and Manners aim to use the hurtful situation to highlight racial bullying:
"The immigrant council of Ireland have asked me to work with them. After issues that happened between myself and Manners we thought it would be good to get involved in this in a positive way, which is the whole reason we talked about it in the first place."Emma added that she is also helping her young fans deal with issues of race, by responding to emails for her 'Ask Emma' section of her up-and-coming website. The new website www.emmawaldron.com will be dedicated to helping her fans, responding to personal mails and keeping us updated on her day-to-day life.
Emma said she's started to reply to people in hurtful situations already:
"I have already received emails from people all over the world. Sadly a girl from a local school in Cellbridge told me she was a victim of racial bullying which was very hard to hear."
