I wonder what prompted this move?
Westlife have announced that they have ened their contract with Simon Cowell's record company. The group have been signed to Syco for 13 years, but they have now left the company and have already signed with Sony. Manager Louis Walsh said there are no hard feelings with Simon:
"The move is a natural progression. There was no bad feeling."
While band member Mark Feehily commented on the decision, he Tweeted the news, saying the band are ready to make a lot more music:
"We are still very young have lots of energy left."
So did Simon think the guys were too old? Well sources say that Simon decided he didn't want to release another single from their album 'Gravity'. Once the bandmates were told they weren't able to release another song they wanted out of the company! Band member Nicky Byrne is the latest to Tweet about the move saying:
"It is time for a change,"
Do you think they made the right decision?
