Limerick girl Emma O'Driscoll is engaged!!
The RTE 2 presenter's boyfriend popped the question while on holiday in New York last week! Her boyfriend of 6 years Liam Cronin got down on one knee last Monday. She said:
"It still hasn't sunk in. It happened on Monday night in New York - it was amazing! I wasn't expecting it at all. It's an unbelievable experience. You always think about it happening to you, especially when you've been together so long, but when it does happen, you're really not prepared for the shock of it."The 28-year-old former Six member said the proposal was magical:
"It was in the middle of Time Square, late in the night. We were standing there taking it all in and next thing he handed me this gorgeous card and asked me to marry him. It's one of the busiest places in the world but it felt like we were in our own little bubble. Fair play to him, he pulled it off."
Emma then got to pick out her own ring in New York (wow lucky lady). She met Liam back in Limerick in a nightclub just over six years ago and they have been having a long distance relationship ever since, as she stays in Dublin!
Who ever said long-distance doesn't work? Congrats to Emma and Liam!
